Terms of use

Last updated 19 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and NorAI (“we”) for using norai.world. Creating an account means you accept them. The privacy policy explains what happens to your data.

Who can have an account

You must be an adult, and the parent or legal guardian of every child you set up, or acting with their permission. Children use NorAI through your account, on devices you link, and you are responsible for that use.

A family can have up to four grown-ups. Only invite an adult who is a parent or legal guardian of the children, or who looks after them with their parents' agreement. By inviting someone you confirm that they are, and the person who accepts confirms it too.

Every grown-up in a family has the same access: each can see and change everything about the children, remove another grown-up, or ask to delete the family. When others share the family, deleting it waits seven days, so they are told first and any of them can cancel it.

What NorAI is, and what it isn't

NorAI is an AI companion for children aged 6–14. Its safety layer checks what a child says before the AI sees it and what the AI says before the child hears it, and tells you about what matters.

Your AI and voice keys

A family without a key gets a limited number of free trial questions, answered on NorAI's account; we may change or end the trial at any time. After that, on the free plan, your family adds its own key from Anthropic or Google, and optionally a voice key from OpenAI or Google; any grown-up in the family can add one. What happens through a key is also governed by that provider's terms, and whoever holds the provider account pays for it. Any grown-up can remove a key at any time.

Using it fairly

Please don't:

The Family plan

The Family plan costs $12 a year, billed yearly through Stripe, and renews each year until it is cancelled. It belongs to the family, not to whoever paid: any grown-up in the family can subscribe, change the card or cancel from the Plan card in the dashboard. The plan stays active until the end of the year paid for, and then your family returns to the free plan. A family has one plan at a time; if a second subscription starts by mistake, we cancel it straight away; write to hello@norai.world and we refund it. When a grown-up leaves the family or is removed, the plan is set to end with the year already paid for, and nobody is charged on a card whose owner has left; any grown-up who stays can keep the plan by adding their own card first. If the price changes, we will tell you before your next renewal. Deleting everything ends the plan straight away, without a refund.

Safety is never a paid feature: the safety layer, the flagged-events list, alerts, schedules, budgets and the PIN are complete on the free plan, and so are sharing a family with other grown-ups, downloading your data and deleting it. None of this affects rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Ending

You can stop using NorAI at any time, and from the Account tab of your dashboard either remove just yourself from your family or delete the family and everything in it, with seven days' notice when others share it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts a child at risk.

Liability

NorAI is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for what the providers you connect do with your data under their own terms. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and if the change matters we will email you before it takes effect. Using NorAI after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

Swiss law governs these terms. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, you keep the protections of your own country's law that cannot be set aside by agreement.
